Smooth

Today is a good day. I'm sitting here this morning listening to one of my favorite sounds...Jazz. Miles Davis actually. It's just so calming and fingersnappin'. I dunno why but this morning I woke up in a pissy funk. I turned the "boobtube" on for some news but I couldn't handle it. Couldn't handle Sportscenter either...ugh! I then tried MTV2 which was a crunkified waste of time YEEAAHHH!..So I turned it to Fuse and wouldn't you know it....YEEAHH! He was there as well. So I went off on a very explicit rant about the societal and intellectual stripmining of Americas youth and turned the T.V. off. Well I just couldn't shake my funk. Then my eyes glance upon one of my concert posters in the "JazzRoom"
"Miles Davis Quintet". I thought "It's been awhile man" which of course Miles answered "It's cool baby". Well after the Shamrock Princess left I fired up the iTunes and was immediately bathed in that smooth soulful trumpet. And the ever so soft high-hat and snare drum. I close my eyes and sink into the music. And all I can think is.... "Smooth".

You either love or hate Jazz. It's like a dry red wine either you love or hate it. I personally dislike a dry Merlot but I'll drink the heck outta a Moscato! I guess it was my 3 years living in Italy that turned me onto Jazz and wine. A couple of friends and I were in Venezia(Venice) for the very first time. Just came off the train and BAM! Venice ..I mean Venice!.I could at the time speak alright Italian and asked one of the cafe patrons how to get to St. Marks Square. She told us and I thanked her and off we went. Of course all the others wanted to do was drink. And I'm not gonna lie I did too. We were young. As we made our way to the square I hear this soft somewhat funky sound coming from one of the side streets. I stopped the group "listen" I said. They all heard it"So what lets get to a bar man!" "Maybe that is a bar" I said. And off we went to investigate. I don't remember what the place was called but it was the coolest bars I have ever been to. My first jazz bar ever. The bartender spoke really good english and I asked him " Who is this" he answered "Miles Davis Take Five". I was awakened that day to the sounds of smooth. We stayed at that jazzbar well into the night. Almost missed the last train home which at that point I didn't care. I had been sitting in the coolest place on earth. Learning about Italian wine, women, culture, and jazz. Life just moves slower when I listen to jazz. The jihadists, Murthas, OEF/OIF issues all seem to be put on hold for as long as I let Miles play. Eventually I'll have to start the day "officially" but for now I'm in Venezia listening to good jazz and drinking some good wine.

Abraham Lincoln was a genius

This Story is being run on the Drudge Report what the hell is the matter with this guy! I mean really!

American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran, U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., said to a crowd of more than 200 in North Miami Saturday afternoon.

Murtha was the guest speaker at a town hall meeting organized by U.S. Rep. Kendrick B. Meek, D-Miami, at Florida International University's Biscayne Bay Campus. Meek's mother, former U.S. Rep. Carrie Meek, D-Miami, was also on the panel.

LocalLinks

War veterans, local mayors, university students and faculty packed the Mary Ann Wolfe Theatre to listen to the three panelists discuss the war in Iraq for an hour.

A former Marine and a prominent critic of the Bush administration's policies in Iraq, Murtha reiterated his views that the war cannot be won militarily and needs political solutions. He said the more than 100,000 troops in Iraq should be pulled out immediately, and deployed to peripheral countries like Kuwait.

"We do not want permanent bases in Iraq," Murtha told the audience. "We want as many Americans out of there as possible."

Murtha also has publicly said that the shooting of 24 Iraqis in November at Haditha, a city in the Anbar province of western Iraq that has been plagued by insurgents, was wrongfully covered up.

The killings, which sparked an investigation into the deadly encounter and another into whether they were the subject of a cover-up, could undermine U.S. efforts in Iraq more than the prison abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib in 2004, Murtha said.

"[The United States] became the target when Abu Ghraib came along," Murtha said.

U.S. efforts to win over Iraqis were tarnished when it was revealed that U.S. military personnel had abused and humiliated people held at Abu Ghraib, a prison outside Baghdad.

Most in the crowd agreed with Murtha and the need to redeploy troops from Iraq as soon as possible. "I believe we are in a mess over there [in Iraq]," said Alnoor Jamal, 49, of Miami.

Well thank you Alnoor Jamal I sure glad you pointed that out. JACKASS! SHAMROCK OUT!

I Jihad You!

In the wake of the brutal slaughter of two young soldiers my feelings are this. We must destroy them all! Wipe them from the face of the earth!. No remorse, No emotion, No fear! People it is time to take the same attitude towards these animals that they have for us. These people are pure evil. And they should be cut from the earth like cancer. Everyone involved and could have been involved is our enemy.

By international law and several mutually agreed conventions, prisoners of war are required to be treated humanely and diplomatically.

Where these soldiers treated with anything remotely close to this?

The bodies of two American soldiers, who were reported captured last week, were recovered Tuesday in Iraq, near Yusufiya. The two soldiers, Pfc. Thomas Lowell Tucker, 25, of Madras, Oregon, and Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, Texas, went missing Friday during an insurgent attack on a US position south of Baghdad.

Pfc. Thomas Tucker

Although unconfirmed, the Associated Press reported that an in an internet posting Tuesday, the Al-Qaeda affiliated group, the Mujahedeen Shura Council, said the two soldiers were killed by their new leader, Abu Hamza al-Muhajer. The language used in the post suggested they were killed in a brutal fashion. Al-Muhajer took over control of the umbrella insurgency group shortly after the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Pfc. Kristian Menchaca

An Iraqi defense ministry official said the bodies showed signs of torture. "With great regret, they were killed in a barbaric way," he said. Officially, the cause of death for the soldiers is listed as "undeterminable at this point." and the two bodies will return to the United States for DNA testing to confirm their identities.

They were killed in a barbaric way.......Signs of torture.......Let these statements sink in. These soldiers died very VERY painfully. Look at them. Did they deserve that? Well according to our enemies yes they did because they are the occupiers or the great Satan. Look if they think we are "Infidels" or from the devil lets give them hell on earth in the form of JDAMS and bullets. People screw compassion they have none for us and as of now I have none for them.

REST IN PEACE YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!

America @%&$ Yeah!

As I sit here starving myself in preparation for the upcoming Slaughter I turned to my iTunes playlist for some tunes as I surf the net and other Shamrockish things that hold my attention. As the playlist play I'm reading an article about the SCAR and an old song comes on. David Bowies "I'm Afraid of Americans" this lil ditty was also co-written with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame. As I sat and listened to the lyrics something came over me. Is this really what Europe thinks of us? So I go to Morpheus (My music/music videos download site) and DL the video. The video is very good because it's really a tool for showing what gansta rap and the media have done to stigmatize the utter violence that occurs in America. I mean look at the amount of horrible crap pumped into our news hungry minds every day. Sex with teachers, Bikini strangler, World's scariest police chases, Tupac murder, Pimp my ride, etc , etc ,etc. Well the rest of the world is seeing this too. Rap music is by far the most popular form of music on the market today..worldwide. Americans rhymin' on the mic about busting caps and sellin' rock jus' to make ends meet cuz "The Man" be beatin' me downz constantly saturate the airwaves worldwide. I assume this would leave a huge impression on Europeans. The video also deals with the stereotype seen through a Britons eyes that we as Americans are a gun toting, fast car loving, boob worshipping, violent bunch with no control over our anger. Is this true? ....Hmmm that I think is a very good question. On my right index(trigger)finger I have a scar that is a constant reminder of the one of many times I have lost control of the Irish in me.

As the video progresses the chorus changes to "God is an American". Why? ...Does he think we are blessed? Is it because we have the right to choose, to bear arms , to fight? Are Americans more "In Gods image" than Europeans? I am confused on this statement. I mean it doesn't make me mad it just make me think "Why would he say this" Britain has its fair share of churches but is it on the same level as America? Maybe there is no real answer to this question maybe it was simply said to make us think. Ok then I'll think about it.

Dirty Kuffar

There was a story that I was reading here today that really pissed me off for some reason. The article is about a Marine singing on video about killing an Iraqi family. The title is called "Hadji Girl" it's about 4 minutes long. I tried to find this video and the site which hosted it is posting that it was removed by the user. People this boils my blood! There a few reasons why. First reason Haditha....sigh I mean I'm sure this REMF video was made well before Murtha condemned the Marines to Hell. But some overzealous "I hate the kids that stole my lunch money" reporters aid searched high and low for this little gem. Found it painted the inside of his pants white and turned it into a hatecrime video for his "masters" over at the Associated Press. And then "they" spin the story out to you fine people with it dripping of "See this is a common practice for America".

Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said that in light of recent allegations of atrocities committed by Marines in Haditha and other towns in Iraq, the video should be investigated by the Pentagon and Congress.

And what's Congress/Murtha gonna do? Investigate the living feces out of it. Why? Because the Council on American-Islamic Relations have a copy of the video on there website(Which I watched and although juvenile harmless) that they will gladly forward to any Congressman interested in getting there name on FOX NEWS! And effectively ending this portly Marines career.

Oh but my friends wait Shamrock has found a diamond in the rough! What if I told you that in the 2005 timeframe a video very similar to this one was made. Yet no media hype was brought to it. No C.A.I.R. asking for investigations into the source or validity of said video. "Show that shit!" you scream. Well ok then here it is.

Zarqawi, Small Vibrators, & Doocy

Day 5 in the U.S. medias campaign of martyrdom for a criminal! "Good Morning today's headlines will Zarqawi's death effect the mating habits of the Northern Iraqi camels?!?" I mean come on people everyone knows he's dead there isn't anymore spins you can put on this story. Unless Osama himself comes to the funeral! The Media really bleeds storys to the last drop doesn't it?

I read this story this morning and thought i would comment on this. I mean a man commenting on the "Duke rape case" is like walking through a bar of crotch high feme-nazi midgets with brass knuckles but here it goes. This whole case is weird as hell! I mean when it first came out everyone grabbed there stones and headed for Chapel Hill. But as more and more of the story surfaced it became fuzzier and fuzzier to understand. Then came our crusader DA Nifong! I remember him all fired up at one of Durham's local churches, which of course happened to be majority black, telling these people. "I believe without a doubt that these boys raped this young woman" and such things as "I will not rest until JUSTICE is served!" Well that got him reelected narrowly winning the minority vote. After that he vanished "POOF!" back to his predominately white gated neighborhood far from the means streets of Durham. My opinion on this!?!....Nifong the Destroyer is his new name! This man destroyed peoples lives to further his career and secure his bloated salary. Nuf said. As far as this "stripper" this girl is a kook! The night she was "raped" she was all over the the "your a dirty lil girl" radar. All weekend she was "performing" for various "clients" one performance apparently uncluded a "small vibrator" (Shamrock sez"Oh hello!") I won't ruin the story for you please read and comment if you want.

Steve Doocy from Fox &Friends is a woman trapped in a man suit! This man angers me into a violent rage everyday! His comments are pointless and usless. i think the only thing he's supposed to be doing is the weather and that's never done right either. I love Fox&Friends and will never stop watching it but they really need to televise his death and replace him with this very qualified person.
(that doubles as your Shamrock moment of Zen!)

MLI & The More Holes Theory

I love this Hmmmm...Maybe he was already outside of the building!??!!?.....hmmmmmm.

Rebar not just for buildings anymore

Blackfive is runningThis Story (Pliers and a Blowtorch one) which of course turned my knob to asshole immediately! People I am here to help your inner hate for these type of people come forth. With that said I hope like hell he was beaten! I'm sure he's willing to live with that. He may also find it easy to deal with a monster like this getting a beating thrown at him. I mean this man cut peoples heads off!!!(pause for dramatic effect)Look People I bring these to you not to be scolded "HOW DARE YOU SHAMROCK!" No I want you to open up and see that this man was pure evil... PURE! People embrace your "Infidel" title. Because as soon as you do we can get on with all of our lives. I saw the best bumper sticker the other day it was in the shape of the MLB of Major League Baseball fame BUT it read "MLI" or as I investigated closer Major League Infidel.Outstanding!!

Look the TF145 had been hunting this guy for a long time. And if a couple of guys got froggy and slapped his "hands" for being a bad kid so be it. I mean Iraqis are so used to being beaten maybe medical care looks like the guys is throwing him a beating.

once again your moment of ShamrockZen(caution long but oh so worth it!)

New Guy here hello

Well here it is after being harassed for about 6 months to start my own blog I did. And I gotta tell ya it feels grrrreat! Well lots to talk about so lets get started shall we. Ok I am currently trying to join an elite group of guys known as (insert dramatic music of your choice) Special Operators!!!.....Actually a SF medic and since I am about 8 days from becoming this I unfortunately will not be sharing my experiences from that portion of my journey. I may reference this HUGH part of my life from time to time since it was quite a chunk of change in my life that I cannot and would not want back. For the most part it has been an eye opening and maturing experience. I have met and trained with exceptionally bright and competent people and I have also had the misfortune to see ...well lets just say idiots as well. All of us are very excited to get the hell out of this phase and move on. Every day we ask ourselves and our peers "where are you going" "what language do you think you'll get". And of course my quick wit and intelligence say" I don't @*&^ing know!" And so is the theme ...limbo.....Whats in store for us only time will tell. And with that i leave you with Shamrocks moment of Zen
